"Early, even and excellent" are the three words being used to describe this year's Napa Valley growing season. Following on the heels of 2012 - another year that has been described as "nearly perfect," the 2013 vintage has exceeded all expectations. The quality of the 2013 winegrapes is outstanding, and reflects the consistent quality for which the world famous Napa Valley wine region is known.
Vineyards and Winemaker
The 2013 BonAnno Pinot Noir is sourced 100% from the rolling hills in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. The four vineyards we source our fruit from are primarily planted with Dijon clones and vines 15+ years old.
Owner/Winemaker Matt Bonanno works closely with several vineyard managers throughout the Napa Valley to ensure the quality of his fruit and maximize the potential of each vintage.
This juicy Pinot Noir is deep ruby in color. It opens with a vibrant blend of mixed red fruits. A smooth and round mid-palate is anchored in vanillin and a light toastiness. The finish lingers on and is filled with fresh red fruits and hints of white pepper.
Crafted to be enjoyed upon release, this wine will also stand the test of time for those who can wait!
